THE FIRE WITHIN

The Fire Within is a variation of “Mysteries of The Night” by N. Chambers. My version features dimensional triangles. Selecting fabrics for this quilt was an enjoyable part of the process. The high contrast and color saturation made me feel as if fire were growing inside of me which ultimately gave the name to the quilt.
The unusual design is formed by the intricate sashing. This is emphasized by the quilting motive where the sashing was completely ignored. I chose simple borders to complement the center design using fabrics and color already in the quilt.

It is 86″ x 86″.
It has a hanging sleeve.
It is custom quilted and has a floral print as backing.
Awarded an Honorable Mention Ribbon at Lake Farmpark Quilts 2007.
