I took another class at the Alpaca Fiber Studio in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. This one was called Mosaic Felt Scarf. It is a Nuno felting technique. I love the texture created and I can see myself using this technique to make art quilts when I have the time or should I say when I MAKE the time, hopefully, it will be sometime this year (as in 2014).

Here  are a couple of pictures of the finished product. (Click on pictures to enlarge and then click again for full view).

The second scarf is a narrow knitted one. While I was in Florida for a few days this past February, I run into this yarn and thread store, the colors were fabulous, so you just have to go in and check it out. I walked in saying in my head “you do not have time for any more projects, so do not buy anything” and the little devil on the other shoulder was answering “yeah, right” and then “OH! just look over there, isn’t that sooooooo vibrant and beautiful”. I can’t resist good colors, and then I told myself I needed something relaxing to do and then I could wear this beautiful scarf while teaching this spring. Yeah, I bought this beautiful rayon ribbon yarn. Here it is

The scarf is done and I will wear it this spring and maybe the summer too!
